Stay fit with Pilates anytime, anywhere!

Exercise is more than ever an important lifestyle factor to consider for supporting immune function and our emotional and mental health.

Currently Pilates teachers in the UK are still facing lockdown restrictions for teaching group classes indoors due to social distancing measures.

So rather than miss out why not join an online Pilates class?

How do I Participate in an Online Pilates Classes?
Taking part couldn’t be easier all you need is a laptop, tablet or Smartphone (or a plug-in webcam). The sessions are taught primarily verbally, but the teacher will be closely watching you whilst you exercise.

What Pilates classes are there?

Pilates Matwork Classes

The most popular form of Pilates is matwork. Matwork is a more traditional form of Pilates, which as it has been developed has incorporated the use of small equipment such as balls, stretch bands, foam rollers or magic circles.

High Intensity Power Pilates

HIP Pilates is a more dynamic form of Pilates that combines the precision and focus of a traditional Pilates session with the dynamic energy of a high intensity workout.

Combining core strength, balance and coordination with an energetic cardiovascular element HIP Pilates is the answer to many people’s search for a functional ‘feel good’ workout.

Anyone with knee or hip problems would benefit hugely from the precise nature of the weight-bearing lunges and squats. Emphasis is on tracking the knees over toes at all times, therefore strengthening the quads.
The class is fast paced, but importantly LOW impact. Therefore you will increase your heart rate safely whilst burning fat, strengthening your lungs and building lean muscle mass. The class also uses light hand weights, which improve bone health.

Attending regular online Pilates classes will give a structure to your day and something to look forward to.

Ideally I would prefer to be teaching my clients face to face again but I’m enjoying teaching online and through Zoom and I’ve been able to interact with clients surprisingly well. I also still get to socialise with people I’ve taught for months and even years. And, it’s lovely to see that clients can catch up with class-friends too.

Since March I’ve personally joined online Pilates Classes and workshops live from Dubai, New York, Arizona, London and Scotland; distance and travel time isn’t an issue with an online class!
